Gale’s Agro Products has been exporting day old chicks from Barbados to the Eastern Caribbean for over 40 years.

We vaccinate all of our chicks before they leave the hatchery, layers are also debeaked. Chicks are packaged in card boxes with ventilation holes, designed for transport of live chicks – we include 2 free chicks with every 100 sold to make up for vaccination miscounts and any unfortunate shipping mortality.

Quote Request
Fill out our quote request form, our sales team will generate a quote including any freight charges and will email it to you for your approval.
Deposit
On receiving your approval for the quote, a deposit will be requested. On receipt of your deposit, we will convert your quote to a confirmed order for supply 6 weeks after the deposit date (or later, if your deposit is received well in advance of your preferred date). This deposit is your financial commitment to us for the chicks we will produce and allows us to purchase the hatching eggs confidently.
Cancellations

Deposits are used to purchase hatching eggs, and as such are non-refundable in the event you cancel your order less than 6 weeks before the requested hatch date. Cancellations more than 6 weeks before the expected hatch date will receive a full refund. We can also accommodate chick export requests without deposits, however we are unable to guarantee shipping dates for these requests until they are paid in full and supply will depend on our having an available surplus of chicks.

Full Payment

Seven days before your preferred shipping date, we will require full payment for your chicks, at which point aircraft space will be booked.
Payment received less than 7 days before your desired shipping date will result in a delay to a later hatch date, allowing us sufficient time to prepare paperwork and book flights. Your exact shipping date will only be confirmed on receipt of full payment, and will be a minimum of 7 days after that payment was received.

Shipping

On the day of shipping, we provide our local Vet with a copy of your import permit, the vet provides a health certificate for your authorities indicating that the chicks are in good health. We enclose your permit, and our health certificate, with your shipping documents on an envelope on the chick boxes. We pay the airline for the freight charges, and they are flown to you on the date which was arranged.
